Morning Poste

This framed piece is approximately 22" X 28".

This was created using professional pigments from Holbein, Winsor Newton, and Daniel Smith

The location is in Perry, Iowa where the Iowa Watercolor Society held it's 38th annual exhibit in 2015.  I had 2 entries accepted into that exhibit.  I took photos of the location as the building is  so interesting with it's arched windows and entry.  I added women sitting outside the building imagining them getting the morning mail on this day.  The building was being constructed in 1912 with the opening in 1915.  Right around the same period as the show "Downton Abby".  I was inspired by the period people and their attire.
